Latest update: All engineering work is complete: technical readiness 100%. The device-management application was released to production on 8 Oct, the five new production tablets passed all tests at our office, and the last cross-team test was signed off today. What remains is no longer engineering work: two road tests that need a vehicle, and the taxi-partner decision for go-live, both waiting on management. The Android developer’s handover was signed today.
1. Technical readiness
All work owned by the engineering team
100%
Covers the product, testing, the new tablets and the tests at our office. Items that wait on a management or partner decision are listed separately in section 2 and are not counted here. Features postponed by earlier decision are out of this phase.
- Product (100%): Ad playlist, video playback, remote device control, interactive ads, entertainment features, and the flexible campaign content form are fully built.
- Testing (100%): Every application runs automated checks before each release, and internal acceptance testing is complete: all 86 scenarios passed.
- Live in production: The backend (latest update 8 Oct), the tablet player application, and the device-management application (released 8 Oct, used on the technicians’ phones to register tablets) are all in production.
- Tablet stability and hardware (100%): The 24-hour stability test passed with no crashes. All six AMG tablets, including the five new production units, have run around the clock at our office since 6 Oct without problems, and passed all office tests today, including power-cut and network-loss tests.
2. Waiting on management or partner decisions
These items cannot be completed by the engineering team. They are shown here, not in the percentage above.
3. Team handover
- Android developer: handover signed today (Fri 9 Oct), all 14 items complete. App-signing keys and cloud accounts are in AMG’s secure storage, and the internal Android engineer already publishes updates independently. Free bug-fix support runs until 10 Nov, with a first response within 2 working days (1 working day for any issue that stops ads playing).
- CMS developer: handover planned for Fri 30 Oct, no blockers. Knowledge transfer to the internal CMS engineer is under way.
